About This Camper Bus

If you’re looking for an ordinary vehicle, this giveaway isn’t for you. Our 1971 VW Bus is a one-of-a-kind project built with passion. Purchased from a gentleman in Vista, CA—it looked and ran okay, but with help, we set it over the top. The bus was missing its original wood paneling and cabinetry, so I brought it to Chris Eiland at SoCal Build & Design. He masterfully crafted the woodwork, sticking to the original shapes and style but with an elevated vibe using high end baltic birch.

 

For the upholstery, I went straight to my buddy Nacho, who’s been cooking up custom interiors since the 1980s, he helped me choose the patterns and colors and after some playful negotiations, we sealed the deal with a coin toss—I called heads and won!

 

Next, I turned to my friend Armando, the hardest-working paint and body man I know. He did a color sand and buff to bring out the shine and added a fresh coat of paint to the rims before we wrapped them in brand new tires.

 

Lastly, I hit my local VW guru, Danny D, who’s been building and servicing Volkswagen’s for over 40 years. He handled a full tune-up in what seemed like minutes including an oil change, new spark plugs, rebuilding the carburetor and adjusting the valves, ensuring our lucky winner drives away worry-free.

 

Thanks to these gentlemen, this bus looks better than ever and is ready for another 53 years of good times. This giveaway is special: our brand gains exposure, customers get a chance to win this vintage gem, and I get to support my friends' businesses. What are the specs on the VW Bus?

On Christmas morning, one of our lucky customers will become the new owner of our beautiful 1971 Volkswagen Bus. This bus is a Westfalia model, meaning it’s complete with a pop top for maximum headroom, louvered side windows to catch every breeze, storage cabinets galore and a fold out table and bed which transforms the interior from family hauler to full blown camper in seconds. The interior is brand new, with flooring, cabinetry and upholstery completed in September of 2024. The exterior is finished in Clementine Orange and received a fresh coat in early 2024 which has been turning heads ever since. Powering the Bus is a 1776cc air-cooled VW engine mated to a 4-speed transmission, the drivetrain received a full tune up and service in October of 2024 and is ready to hit the road for many years to come!
